Located in the heart of Stranraer, our school is proud to foster a culture of inspiration, innovation, energy, and creativity when it comes to teaching. We firmly believe that this approach has a tremendous positive impact on our pupils, shaping and enhancing their learning experience in countless ways. Our incredibly talented staff includes an experienced headteacher, Mr Jamie Farquhar, who is a former rugby player and scientist. Additionally, we are fortunate to have many skilled artists, composers, and sports coaches who all play a vital role in creating a stimulating learning environment that is synonymous with Stranraer Academy. Exploring new ideas and approaches to education is not only encouraged but celebrated. As a result, our school is a hub of innovation, dynamism, and excitement – making it the perfect place to learn and grow.
