Stranraer Academy Heads to National Maths Challenge Final
Our team from Stranraer Academy, made up of S3 and S4 pupils — Thomas Agnew, Leo Waugh, Ethan Allison, and Fraser Lewicki — achieved an outstanding result at the Regional Enterprising Maths Challenge for Dumfries and Galloway, securing first place in the competition.
The event, which tests pupils’ problem-solving, teamwork, and mathematical reasoning skills, brought together schools from across the region. The team’s impressive performance has earned them a place in the National Enterprising Maths Challenge Final, which will take place at the Glasgow Science Centre on Tuesday 25th November 2025.
The school is immensely proud of the pupils’ hard work, creativity, and collaboration, and we wish them every success as they represent Dumfries and Galloway in the national final. Good luck boys!
