Exploring the Future: Must-Attend Events in Stranraer
As we stride into the new year, Stranraer is buzzing with exciting events that promise to engage and inspire. These gatherings are not just opportunities for entertainment but are crucial platforms for our students at the academy to stay informed and voice their thoughts about the future of our beloved town.
1. Creative Stranraer Meet, Greet, and Discuss Evening
Make a note in your diary for Thursday, 29th January, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Wigtownshire Rugby Football Club in Stranraer (DG9 8BN), as the town comes together for an evening of creativity, discussions, and community building.
The session will kick off with an introduction to the Urban Collective, a newly developed skate/biker group dedicated to promoting biking skills at the skate park. Excitingly, they aim to design and develop a dirt track within the Black Stank project. Be part of this innovative movement and contribute your ideas to shape the future of biking in our community.
Nick Chisholm will lead an engagement session, presenting the feasibility report of the potential use of the Black Stank. This is your chance to actively participate in the design process and share your vision for this area. Let your voice be heard as we collectively envision the transformation of Black Stank.
Additionally, there’s an exciting prospect for Stranraer’s artistic side with the announcement of another street mural in the Spring. Meet the creative minds from Re-coat and Upland who will breathe life into this project. Join the discussion about ideas for the mural and be a part of making our town visually vibrant.
