Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the Easter break, I wanted to take a moment to extend a message of gratitude and warmth to you all. We’ve reached the end of Term 3, and what a journey it has been!
Firstly, I’d like to bid a fond farewell to Hannah Thompson, who departs from us today. Hannah, your dedication and contributions during your time here have been invaluable. We wish you the best for your future endeavours.
Change is inevitable, and as one chapter closes, another begins. I’m delighted to announce the appointment and return to Stranraer, of True Anderson, who will be joining us in the Art department from Hawick High School in June. True brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm, and I have no doubt True will enrich our school community in countless ways.
Our school has seen remarkable progress across various fronts, from positive, external evaluations in learning and teaching and financial management.
Our senior pupils are well prepared for their upcoming exams.
Looking ahead to Term 4, It’s a time of focused effort, as we support our students through study leave until exams and concentrate on the Broad General Education curriculum in May and June. With June on the horizon, we anticipate welcoming new classes and meeting our incoming first years.
As we pause to celebrate Easter, I encourage each of you to take this opportunity to rest, rejuvenate, and cherish moments with loved ones. Whether you’re embarking on adventures or simply enjoying quiet moments of reflection, may this Easter break be filled with joy, and peace.
Thank you for your support of our school community. The Parent Council’s recent Bingo night raised over £700 in total. Thank you to everyone involved and who attended.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful Easter.
