This week’s selection of photographs showcases some delightful examples from our Higher Photography group. Carly Brown’s ‘Red Arrows’ shot displays excellent contrast, harmonising positive and negative space with leading lines guiding one towards the aerial display. Additionally, from Carly Brown, the vibrant oranges imbue the image with a rich warmth, and the tilted horizon introduces a touch of drama. Megan McKinstry’s ‘Time’s Passage’ contrasts beautifully between smooth and coarse textures, with the rusty red tones echoing the theme of the image. ‘Colours in the Night’ by Archie McCubbin is striking and achieves a superb balance of complementary colours. Lastly, Lucas Arnott’s adept use of framing and the rule of thirds crafts a serene image of a house beside the lake. Look forward to more captivating shots next week.
