Stranraer Academy Swimmers Shine at Scottish Schools Championship!
Exciting news from the poolside as our talented swimmers from Stranraer Academy made waves at the recent Scottish Schools Swimming Championship held at the Dollan Aqua Centre in East Kilbride. After securing their spots during the Regional Championships in November, our team showcased their skills and determination on a grand stage, leaving their mark with remarkable performances!
Let’s dive into the outstanding achievements of our swimmers:
Molly Irvine-Watson: A true champion, Molly secured 1st place and the prestigious title of Scottish Schools Champion in the 100m Freestyle event! Not stopping there, she also showcased her prowess in the 200m Freestyle, finishing an impressive 5th.
Stepans Nastjuks: Stepping up with finesse, Stepan seized the spotlight with a Silver in the 100m Breaststroke and a Bronze in the challenging 200m Individual Medley, displaying his versatility and skill.
George Zbiegniewski: Demonstrating resilience and determination, George claimed 11th place in both the 200m Individual Medley and the 100m Breaststroke, showcasing his dedication to the sport.
Millie Colvin: Making a splash, Millie soared to 4th place in the fiercely competitive 100m Butterfly and secured a commendable 6th in the demanding 200m Butterfly, exhibiting her strength and endurance.
Mirren Gibb: Putting in a commendable effort, Mirren secured 11th place in the challenging 100m Breaststroke, demonstrating her commitment and passion for swimming.
Finlay Nelson: Despite being missing from the photo, Finlay’s achievement cannot be overlooked as he clinched an impressive 4th place in the 100m Butterfly, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
