Most S1 and S2 classes have started on the Accelerated Reader program for this school session. Well done to Mrs Kelly’s classes who have taken an early lead in word count, although the S1s should continue to focus on reading carefully to ensure they are answering accurately.
If your child or ward tells you they don’t have any homework, please direct them to their private reading books. 15-20 minutes per day of reading helps boost literacy and improve attainment across all subject areas, and all pupils should aim high and work hard on this.
Details of parent/carer access to the AR scheme will be sent home next week. Please look out for further information on this in due course.
