Exciting Opportunity for S5/6 Students: Free Creative Industries Workshop
Are you interested in exploring career pathways in the creative industries? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
WonderFools – a Glasgow-based theatre company – is offering a free workshop for Stranraer Academy students. The session will be held on Thursday, 12th December, during Period 3 and will be led by theatre director Jack Nurse. This is a fantastic chance to learn about different roles and skills within the creative industries, especially if you’re considering a future in theatre, design, production, or other creative fields.
Why attend?
Exposure to creative careers: Gain insight into various roles you might not have considered.
Engaging, hands-on learning: Participate in a fun and interactive workshop with a professional theatre director.
Future career opportunities: Following the workshop, there will be a public callout for paid work experience in a professional theatre production next spring.
The Kelton Hill Fair, a new production by WonderFools, will be staged in Spring 2025 at Castle Douglas Town Hall in partnership with D&G Arts Live. The workshops will lead into a paid work experience opportunity for young people in Dumfries and Galloway to contribute to the production.
How to sign up:
There are only 20 places available for this workshop, so make sure you act quickly! To sign up, either see Mrs Fay or complete form via the link.
